MAISA Sailors fill out this form by August 30, 2019 for yourself or someone on your team if they have met the following criteria:
To become a member of the MAISA All-Academic team a sailor shall have a min GPA of 3.5 (GPA for the year of competition – not cumulative) and have competed in (or been a reserve) at least 8 total College Sailing regattas during the 2018-2019 season.
- GPA for the year of competition – not cumulative.
- Regattas can be any regularly scheduled conference or ICSA interconference regatta or ICSA National Championship.
- The 8 regattas needed to qualify for the team can be sailed in one semester or over two semesters.
Please Note:
- All MAISA sailors are eligible regardless of class year
- There is no maximum number of sailors named to the MAISA All Academic Team
- No consideration will be given to competitive record

The Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) honored three individuals for their contributions to the sport of college sailing by inducting them into the ICSA Hall of Fame over the course of the 2019 ICSA Spring National Championships hosted at Sail Newport Sailing Center at Fort Adams by Brown University with support from the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA), the University of Rhode Island, Harvard University and Dartmouth University.
Alyson Leigh Schwerdtfeger (Waltham, Mass.) was recognized with the James Rousmaniere Award for student leadership; Kenneth Legler (Reading, Mass.) was honored with the Campbell Family Award for Lifetime Service; Jesse Andrews (Honolulu, Hawaii) was awarded the Graham Hall Award for outstanding service by a college sailing professional.
