Standing Rules & Policies

The ICSA sailors defeated the visiting British sailors 2-1 in the 2019 Lord King Match Race.  The racing took place out of the US Naval Academy on Tuesday September 17 in two of the Academy's Navy 44s.  

As a courtesy to the visiting sailors, BUSA was given the option to choose either: Starboard entry for race one (and race three if necessary), or pick which of the Navy 44s to race in.  Seeing as the fleet of 44s are all equal, the savvy Brits chose starboard entry.  

The Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (MAISA) has named its 2018-19  All-Academic Sailing Team.  A total of 80 Athletes from 13 Schools were named to the team.  The MAISA All-Academic Team recognizes collegiate sailors who excelled on and off the water.  All Academic Team members must have a GPA of 3.5 or above for the year and must have competed or been a reserve in at least 8 college sailing regattas over the course of the 2018-19 season.  The cumulative GPA of the team is 3.71.  Certificates will be mailed to each sailor later this month.
